Jashn-e-Hidayah: A Grand Celebration of Knowledge, Faith, and Excellence
The Annual Function of Al-Hidayah Campus, known as Jashn-e-Hidayah, is a magnificent event that blends intellectual, spiritual, and cultural elements to celebrate the achievements of students. Rooted in Islamic values, the function is a vibrant showcase of talent, wisdom, and dedication that inspires students to uphold the legacy of Islamic scholarship, moral integrity, and social responsibility.
The event’s name, “Jashn-e-Hidayah” (Celebration of Guidance), reflects the school’s mission—to illuminate young minds with the light of knowledge and faith, guiding them toward success in both Dunya (this world) and Akhirah (the Hereafter).
Highlights of Jashn-e-Hidayah
- Opening with the Quran: Seeking Divine Blessings
The event commences with a soul-stirring recitation of the Holy Quran, reminding the audience of the supreme guidance that Allah (SWT) has bestowed upon humanity:
“Indeed, this Quran guides to that which is most upright and gives glad tidings to the believers.” (Surah Al-Isra 17:9)
This is followed by dua (supplication), seeking Allah’s blessings upon the students, teachers, and the institution.
- Skits: Portraying Moral & Social Lessons
Students present thought-provoking skits that depict moral values, historical Islamic events, and social issues. These performances creatively highlight:
✅ Islamic ethics in daily life (honesty, patience, gratitude).
✅ Stories from the lives of Prophets and Sahabah (companions of the Prophet).
✅ The importance of education, justice, and kindness in society.
Skits serve as a powerful medium to inspire change, as the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“The example of a good companion is like that of the musk seller; even if you do not buy from him, you will still benefit from his fragrance.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5534)
- Debates on Burning Social Issues: Presenting Islamic Solutions
Al-Hidayah Campus encourages critical thinking and Islamic reasoning through debates on pressing social issues. Students present well-researched arguments on topics such as:
📌 The Role of Youth in Nation-Building from an Islamic Perspective
📌 Islam’s Stance on Environmental Conservation
📌 Technology: A Blessing or a Curse?
📌 Islamic Solutions to Modern Social Challenges
These debates help students understand that Islam provides timeless wisdom for every aspect of life. The Prophet (PBUH) said:
“Wisdom is the lost property of the believer; wherever he finds it, he is more deserving of it.” (Tirmidhi 2687)
- Nasheeds: A Celebration of Faith
Beautifully rendered Nasheeds (Islamic songs) in Arabic, Urdu, and English uplift the audience with words of faith, gratitude, and devotion to Allah (SWT). These melodious performances remind us of the beauty of praising Allah and His Messenger (PBUH):
“And proclaim the blessings of your Lord.” (Surah Ad-Duha 93:11)
Nasheeds also cultivate love for Islam, strengthen brotherhood, and inspire young hearts.

- Multilingual Speeches: The Power of Expression
Students deliver insightful speeches in English, Urdu, and Arabic, demonstrating their linguistic proficiency and depth of knowledge. Topics include:
🕌 Islamic History & Contributions to Civilization
🌍 The Role of Muslims in Shaping a Just Society
📖 The Quran as a Guide for Humanity
These speeches reflect the Prophetic tradition of eloquence and wisdom, as Allah (SWT) states:
“And We did not send any messenger except in the language of his people so that he might make the message clear to them.” (Surah Ibrahim 14:4)
- Dastarbandi Ceremony: Honoring the Huffaz
One of the most spiritually uplifting moments of Jashn-e-Hidayah is the Dastarbandi (turban-tying) ceremony for students who have successfully memorized the entire Holy Quran.
💎 The Excellence of a Hafiz:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
“The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5027)
A beautifully adorned turban (Dastar) is placed on each Hafiz’s head, symbolizing:
✅ Honor and dignity in the sight of Allah (SWT).
✅ Their role as a guardian of the Quran.
✅ A commitment to uphold and teach the words of Allah.
This moment fills the audience with pride, humility, and inspiration, reinforcing the importance of preserving the Quran in our hearts and lives.
- Prize Distribution: Rewarding Excellence
Students who have excelled in academics, discipline, leadership, and character are awarded for their hard work and dedication. Awards include:
🏆 Best Student of the Year
🏆 Best Character Award (Akhlaq)
🏆 Top Academic Performers
🏆 Most Pious & Disciplined Students
🏆 Sports Champions & Cultural Event Winners
Islam encourages the recognition of hard work, as the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“Give each person his due right.” (Sahih Muslim 1832)
This motivates students to continue striving for excellence, knowing that their efforts are recognized and appreciated.
Conclusion: A Celebration of Guidance & Growth
Jashn-e-Hidayah is more than just an event—it is a celebration of faith, knowledge, and excellence. It nurtures:
🌿 Spiritual growth through Quranic recitations and Nasheeds.
